Leaving the Village
This sequence, originally roughed out by another storyboard artist, had to be decidedly reworked. In the earlier version, the mood wasn't tense enough and main character seemed more nonchalant than sneaky. I reworked the shots in this scene to better convey this mood, and changed the transition into our forest establishing shot in order to show the edge of the forest before revealing its vast depths.

Shot Concepts
All the following shots are pulled directly from sequences done by our storyboard team based off of beat board concepts originally thumbnailed by myself in conjunction with our Lead Animator. While each artist was given freedom with their scenes, they all had to abide by scene direction and continuity rules set in place by myself and were heavily encouraged to follow the thumbnails unless they were willing to pitch an alternate shot idea to me.
